The Clean(ish) Eating Rules:
(1) Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably as local as possible. Fresh fruits and veggies are the foundation of your diet.
(2) No processed foods. Eat whole foods instead.
(3) No sugar or all purpose flour.
(4) Eat lean meats and dairy, but other cuts of meat and butter that are high quality (sustainably raised and/or organic and/or (at least) antibiotic free) are okay too in moderation.
(5) Dark chocolate and wine are allowed.
